Al Moosa IVF ultrasound scan for uterine cavity

What is an SIS Scan?

An SIS scan (Saline Infusion Sonography), is a type of ultrasound scan designed to evaluate the health of your uterine cavity (endometrium). This procedure is an essential part of fertility assessment, offering valuable insights into potential barriers to conception.

An SIS scan uses a saline solution to assess the structure of your uterus. It is a safe, effective, and less invasive alternative to traditional methods like hysteroscopy.

During the procedure, a small amount of sterile saline solution is introduced into the uterus through the cervix. Using ultrasound imaging, our specialists can observe the uterine cavity, identifying any abnormalities that may affect fertility or pregnancy.
